The fine print
- What this compares. Your current average power bill of $207 a month against your solar payment of $135.59 a month, over 25 years. Utility escalated at 7.5% per year, solar at 2.99% per year.
- Still connected to the grid. You are still connected to the utility grid and would be expected to pay a small fixed monthly rate, considered the standard connection fee.
- Ameren Illinois rates are moving. The June 2025 supply price rose roughly 50%, and the June 2026 supply price went from 8.769 cents to about 11 cents per kWh. Past increases do not guarantee future ones.
- This is an estimate, not a contract. Production, rates and savings are projections. Nothing here is a guarantee.
